What is Personal Growth?
Personal growth is improving one or more areas of knowledge, health, and meaning, in order to live better.
The three levels of knowledge are basic knowledge, understanding, and wisdom.
Basic knowledge is helpful information about how things work (simple foundational knowledge). Understanding is helpful information about how things interact (complex interactive knowledge). Wisdom is how to apply knowledge and understanding to make better choices (practical probability knowledge).
The four ways we build meaning are with faith, strengths, relationships, and goals.
Faith is basically a higher level of confidence. Confidence has to do with competence or skills, but faith includes understanding foundational virtues. We can have faith in a higher power, people, or systems. Strengths include our skills, passion, and a sense of purpose. Relationships are why we are here.
Why is Personal Growth Important?
All other areas of individual growth depend on personal growth, or build upon it. You could say, all growth is personal. Most people want to improve their life and help their loved ones. But they are often unsure how, or they are discouraged. This website can help, especially with the Personal Planning Package.
It is self-evident that our words and actions have a ripple effect on the people around us. Our lives are all connected in many ways, and the more individuals improve, the more their communities improve. The more communities improve, the more societies improve. You are important to your community and society.
How to Pursue Personal Growth
Personal growth starts with our Complete Wisdom Model, that I highlighted on the Home page. Which is our Foundation of Being, Art of Learning, and Science of Creating. This is the growth foundation for our spiritual growth, professional growth, and leadership growth. The growth of every organization depends on those Four Core Areas of Growth.
Personal growth seems to have the widest and broadest foundation, including many important factors. The more important factors of personal growth include our identity, mind, body, strengths, relationships, goals, habits, investments, and commitments. There are entire books written on each of these areas. Many of those books claim that one area is the most important for success. They can’t all be right. The question is, “What is most important to you at this chapter of your life?”
What is a Personal Growth Plan?
A Personal Growth Plan is recorded information about a personal situation and desire, including actions necessary to achieve the desire.
This could be different for everyone, as we are all unique, considering our genetics and experiences. However, we are all the same also, considering we have the same basic biology, needs, and motivations. We often plan better with new knowledge from other people. This can help us understand better ways to achieve our desires.

Consider an inexpensive KeySmart if you want to get your keys in order. No more keys poking things in your pocket or purse. This neatly stacks them next to each other and firmly holds them in place. But it also allows you to easily push keys out of the stack.
If you want whatever you write, to be readable for centuries, consider using pigment based ink pens. They should be promoted as quick drying, water resistant, and lightfast or fade resistant. This could be very important to anyone who creates art, journals, writes or edits drafts they plan to publish. It could also be important for signing or editing ownership documents. Basically anything important that you sign with a pen, and want to last or pass down to other people. Check some different options here.
